A Bright Spot

in my back yard, this white iris didn't bloom last year. I was so happy to see it this year.
I call it my Aunt Minnie Iris because it came from a lady that
helped us find Aunt Minnie's grave some years ago.
A bud on the yellow Sunny Knock Out rose
peony is going to pop any time.

Ooh how I love white Iris's, timeless beauty, and simply stunning in the night garden.
We had to dig up all of our Knock Out Roses, they were suffering from "Witches Broom" and I already miss them with a passion.
Beautiful Peonies such prolific blooms!

I lost most of my knock out roses but I am hoping the last two that I bought last fall did survive the winter. I keep watching them. I like iris and I like the way you gave it a name.

Oh, That White Iris!! What a lovely bloom---perfection of its kind, preserved in your pages.

And it's "PINIE" time here, as well. I'd never heard them called that until we moved here, and they're everywhere---even the short row, trimmed back nearly to the ground last year around the block, is about a foot high now, with the little bloom-balls bobbing in the breeze. They'll be a lovely strip soon, covered in pink tissue.

Glad to see your SPRING!

PS---I'm SO empathetic of the water problem---we have that going on as well, with great rivulets running down the sidewalk and way down the block, keeping the blacktop all torn up and crumbled from the damp.

But I love our neighbors, and we don't say anything, even about the kitties who bless our flowerbeds under the window every day. And that's why I've got a $30.oo quart of dried Coyote Pee in the potting shed. Hope it works.

Love seeing the beautiful blooms, yellow Knockout Roses are one of my favorites, they have such a sweet smell.
Iris' always remind me of my grandmothers old home place she had them planted along her front walkway, as a child I enjoyed them so much! Thanks for sharing.
Blessings,
Sue
