Hay what you doing

in there! I have been doing my summer reading program:
I have been reading Joan Medlicott books about The Ladies of Covington. Like the author of Clay's Quilt said I began to miss ( the characters ) as soon as I closed the book. I have ordered 5 more of her books about the ladies and that will be my fall reading list and the end of the books.

In the meantime I started the new book of Jennifer Chiaverini ( The Aloha Quilt) about the Elm Creek Quilters.

We have no rain but the temp did drop in to the 80's here in north east Arkansas

Transgressions

"As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us" Peace rose
Lord, help me accept the Kingdom offered me, even if it means a different way of thinking, a different way of living.

Remember

Mother Rabbit having a nest under the Rosemary bush? -----WELL ---
here is a baby:
There could be more in the nest last time there were three. I was washing the porch off and turn the hose out in to the garden and this baby came running to get back in the nest . It must be a rogue little boy and didn't stay put after mother feed him.

Girl Power

this magazine call Skirt! feature stories about locals in and around Memphis, Tennessee. It has a feature on my granddaughter called Girl Power.
"Whenever you have a difficult piece and you want to quit, don't, because that's how you know you're challenging yourself. A quote from Rebecca. Now is that not something coming from a 18 year old? (Believe me she has worked very hard to be successful in her music.)

It reads :
When Rebecca Butler picked up the French horn at age twelve, she didn't know that it would be her tool to success. In January of 2010, an audition won her a spot in the renowned Germantown Performing Arts Youth Symphony Orchestra. "After I finish putting my all into a piece of music and mastering it, I look forward to showing the audience my interpretation." Rebecca will be attending the University of Memphis in the fall and has received a performance-based scholarship. This summer, Rebecca is looking forward to teaching beginners to play the French horn.

Truth

"The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth."
Lord, give me grace and strength to persevere and an obedient heart to do your will.

Caution

Last night about 7:00pm the phone rang and it was a 800 number so I didn't ans but the Bennie did it was about my credit card.
Now this is a card that has my picture on it and my signature. I have had this card for 20 years because it was used in my business.
I have been retired now for six years, the card has been used for only one thing to pay our cable bill for the last two years. I have the card in my hand- it was not stolen but someone had it and used it . They charged a box of candy for 59.00 and 369.00 for some thing?
Sure made me mad not to get some of the candy. So now I will have a new card and no cable bill.

Rejoice

"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not." Jeremiah 33:3
God, help us to live one day at a time and enjoy each gift that you have given us. Help us to be glad and rejoice in each new day.
