Something to Think About

If a computer could track our words and actions, what would a snapshot of yesterday reveal? Over the weeks and months, what patterns would emerge? And what theme would dominate the final mosaic of our lives? When all the pictures of our life are on the table, they will reveal our recurring words and actions. What story will they tell? It's worth considering as we make our choices each day. By David McCasland

Teapots and Dinner

We had Dinner with our Village friends Cloody and Frank last night. There grandson Davis is here for a visit. Frank wanted, you guessed it Chinese,( he likes Chinese checkers too.) Go to Cloody and Frank's blog to meet Davis he is a very delightful guy. We now know why Frank always wants to go for Chinese food, he is in love with there ice cream. We do not have a dairy queen here. That is the only place to eat that has the soft cream in a cone. We had all finished our food . Davis and The Bennie got there ice cream, ate it, Frank was telling one of his Norman story's when I said Frank have you forgotten your ice cream? Have you ever seen a little boy with that look of surprise and disbelief on his face? Well that was Frank, he came back to the table with a cone and no ice cream. As he was reaching to get his cone , they stick a out of order sign on the machine. Yes I have bags under my eyes this morning.

Magnolia's in Bloom

Some would love to have others think of their lives like Niagara Falls-------wild, spectacular, and loud. But power without control dissipates into useless energy. By D. De Haan

Juicy Fruit, Peas, and Butterbeans

Boy, did Bennie have me working yesterday. In the garden at 6:oo am picking peas and butter beans. We had gotten Peaches the day before, so he had me peeling by 8:00. He made Preserves and Pickled Peaches. I got that cleaned up and we shelled the peas and butterbeans. It was late afternoon but got those in the freezer and that mess cleaned up. Most work I have done in a long time.

Cloody this is for you

This is what Cloody ask to see, the quilt top I am working on. Bennie made the shelves for me at the Village Wood Shop.
We had our Friday night out with the Village group. It was Chinese food . I woke with large bags under my eyes. I will have to slice up some cucumbers for my eyes or maybe I will just use some hemorrhoid cream. ( just kidding about the hemorrhoid cream ,but they say models do it.) Our talk was of food. Frank told us how to make Cold Cucumber Soup and Cold Blueberry Soup. It did sound good. Frank cooked this for there Cloody and Frank's Thursday Bridge Party.

Lemon Dish's

This is my collection of lemon dish's, what fun it was to find them over the years. Before we down sized I had 23. You know it can be very devastating to some people to downsize, but we must not live in the past and not look to far into the future. We must find joy now living in the presence.

True Confessions

We had a little sewing going on over at Cloody's yesterday. You know how it is when us gals get to talking. The true personality's come out. We have Sherry the teacher, Cloody the cook and fun loving one and Patsy the I want to know what is going on in the world (blogger).

Sherry sewed, Cloody talked about her mother and how she could make the best pies but Cloody always had to make the crust for her. Well to bad Franks computer was in the sewing room. So you know what Patsy did read blogs.

Ice Cream we all scream for ice cream

This is what I made with my Frank and Cloody peaches.

Our village group went to Joe and Sherry's for, you guessed it home made ice cream. Thanks to our Frank and Cloody's trip to peach world we had peach ice cream and it was so good.

We hit on many topics then it got ugly. Cloody said Frank had not been feeling to good to day. Salmonella had been one of the topics, which Frank put on the table. I said something about blogging and that did it. The none blogger's said Frank and I both had blog disorder from to much blogging. Oh! well they just don't have a clue.
