Wednesday Words

For more contributors go to http://muddybootdreams.blogspot.com Sunshine makes all the trees,
The fruit, the herbs and flowers,
To help mankind everywhere here
To spend many real happy hours.

It spreads its light upon the waters
And nourishes all kinds of fishes,
So we can catch and bring them in
To eat according to our varied wishes.

We took a little trip to Memphis. As we went down a street we saw a shoe laying in the middle of the street. I said to The Bennie how many shoes have we seen in the street over the years when we go some where. It is always just one. Ever wonder how does it get there and why just one.
Now you watch for lone shoes in the street and I can tell you what we can do with them.

Make art, some one did. A SHOE TREE

New bed for the Hostas

The Bennie had to do a little yard work this morning like cut the grass and edge I had been looking at our blue green Hostas looking so bad in the front garden that we made a new bed in the back yard where it will be out of that hot west sun.
We found this little Mole critter about to do a lot of damage to the yard.

You know how it is when you go to buy bags of potting soil and sand to do a bed. there is always something you see. Look at this lovely Blue Daze.

Have you seen this ? It is new to me . Blue Fortune Mexican Hyssop.

These Prairie Splendor Coneflowers looked so happy in this heat.

Poor baby's ! They better start looking lush and green in about three weeks after all the hard work The Bennie has taken so they could be saved. I told him we would not have found that mole and it would have his yard in a mess by next week. You know woman's logic.

Thank you all for your kindness

Death for the Christian cuts the cord that holds us captive in this present evil world so that angels may transport believers to their heavenly inheritance.
Tis mystery all! Th' Immortal dies!

Who can explore His strange design?

In vain the first-born seraph tries

To sound the depths of love Divine!

'Tis mercy all! Let earth adore!

Let angel minds inquire no more.

One more on "Old Glory''

Winifred ask why was our flag call ''Old Glory''

In 1831, Captain William Driver a ship master from Salem Massachusetts left on one of his many world voyages. Friends presented him with a flag of 24 stars. As the banner opened to the ocean breeze, he exclaimed ''Old Glory''! He kept his flag for many years, protecting it during the Civil War until it was flown over the Tennessee Capital. His ''Old Glory'' became a nickname for all American Flags.

I was a young child when World War II was going on and I was very patriotic and my country and what our flag stands for mean life and death to me. Gods grace and Freedom. I get a little emotional about some things in life today.

Trivia

People who laugh a lot are much healthier then those who don't. Dr Lee Berk at the Loma Linda School of Public Health in California found that laughing lowers the level of stress hormones, and strengthens the immune system. Six-year-olds laugh an average of 300 times a day. Adults laugh only 15 to 100 times a day

Come Sit With Me

Come sit and less just talk:
I wish that I was young again
And always full of flight of fancy;
I'd do the things I used to do
And try to get them right.
Each morning comes bright and fair
And every thing's serene;
I ponder all the wondrous things
That I have ever seen.
