My Quilt is complete

This will be my next one. Not in this order.

The Big Grey Dog

This is for our blogger friends that do not live in the USA. The Greyhound Bus was our mode of transportation in the 1940's and 50's. to get to the city from rural places. It was affectingly called the grey dog because of the big Greyhound dog on the side of the buses. Click to in large picture and you will see the dog on top of the sign.

The Big Grey Dog

This place has many memories for me. My daddy came home to us at this place after World War 2. I think it is the only one standing in the USA.

Remember

If, after years of toiling, Your wealth should fly away and leave your hands all empty, And your looks are turning gray, Remember then your Father owns all the sea and land; Blessed are ye if ye trust Where ye cannot understand. From Streams in the Desert

The one in red is Butter (Martha) and she has a daughter name Patsy Smith and it's not me. 90 years young.

The kids

The center one is mine

These are not from my class but a bunch of more mature people or just better at it.

Here in the village we get new teachers moving in all of the time. It just adds to our fun. I did not know how to quilt until I moved here and took classes from a retired teacher. We have some of the best Art teachers that teach classes. We even have teachers that think we are all a bunch of kindergarten kids , you sit here and you sat there. Now sit down and be quiet. I need a spelling teacher to help me with this blog.

A game of hiding and seeking

We found it
Before we found it

When we were at Reelfoot Lake and the guys went fishing the girls went Geocaching, ( Geo- cashing ). It is a world wide game of hiding and seeking treasure. You pin point its location using a GPS UNIT technology. After you find it you sign it and but it back for others to find. There were 3 in around the lake ,we found 2. Go to http://geocaching.com/ to get more info.

Sadness

Sadness discolors everything: It leaves all objects charmless; it involves future prospects in darkness; it deprives the soul of all its aspirations, enchains all its powers, and produces a mental paralysis! From ( Streams in the Desert)
