Trust

Build a little fence of trust Around today; Fill the space with loving work And therein stay. Look not through the sheltering bars Upon tomorrow; God will help thee bear what comes Of joy or sorrow. By Mary Butts

Why are some Christians so anxious, so fearful ? Evidently because they have not left their way with the Lord. They took it to Him, but brought it away with them again. By Streams in The Desert

My Baby Eagle

In the Commercial Appeal News paper they have Mid-South Memories. The Bennie was in the 7Th grade. His daughter sent it to us yesterday. He is number 27, enlarge to see how cute he is.

Wintry blast

Though the rain may fall and the wind be blowing, And cold and chill is the wintry blast; Though the cloudy sky is still cloudier growing, And the dead leaves tell that the summer has passed; My face I hold to the stormy heaven. My heart is as calm as the summer sea, Glad to receive what my God has given, What e'er it be. When I feel the cold, I can say, "He sends it", And His winds blow blessing, I surely know; For I've never a want but that He attends it; And my heart beats warm, though the winds may blow. A Job to do

Enlarge if you dare. I know I have this job to do this coming week.

The Master calls

Go back to thy garden-plot, sweetheart! Go back till the evening falls, and bind thy lilies and train thy vines. Till for thee the Master calls.

Go make thy garden fair as thou canst, Thou workest never alone; Perhaps he whose plot is next to thine, will see it and mend his own.

The Village goes to College

I just reserved a treasuretrove of information and pictures from the late 1800 and early 1900 on my fathers family. The Alexander's of Tennessee. Tuesday Arkansas Northeastern College had a class on the history of this part of northeastern Arkansas and how we got here in Blytheville in the 1800's. As I may have said in the past blogs I am addicted to genealogy and for 4 years have been compiling a book on ( Parts of the person I am)

Flower of Faith

At 11 am on November 11 in 1918, World War 1 ceased. On November 11 many still bow their heads in remembrance of the 11 hour of the 11 day of the 11 month.

Flower of Faith

The perennial poppy symbolized sacrifice and renewal to millions of Allied troops of the First World War.

I remember my Grandfathers brother , Uncle Jim that was a veteran of World War 1 when I was a child.

The Bennie is up and about

The Bennie is home and doing good , will be back to his sweet old self in a day or two. While I was setting with the sick and being (The alter ego ) that he had to work at to over come. You know things like I don't think you should do that , let me call the nurse - no no don't pull out the tube down your throat. After the nurse came with help and shot him back to sleep, I got two books read. I got Three Cups of Tea read and a book I got in the gift shop by Clive Cussler , The Chase. I think I may read some of his other books.
