Cleaning and Playing in the Sewing Room

 My button and thread collection
where does all this dust come from?
Lap quilt I am trying to make doing something new-- to me it is quilt as you go  blocks.
 and this is the back.
This is much better and the dust is gone but only for a while.
 It is going together nicely
the back of the quilt looks like this.
You can click on photo's to enlarge, some one said my photo's were to small are they to everyone?

Now, Miss Patsy, those shelves are absolute works of ART! Just the jars of buttons on the table, and all those satiny thread colors---that was amazing, but in the shelves---magic.

I had to look up the Polar Fuji Apple things---couldn't read it all on the lid, but I'm a sucker for those beautiful little jars with their rounded bellies and the little handle-shapes right in the glass. We get roasted peppers in those and I love storing things in them. But I've never seen apple preserves before.

Simply beautiful, all of it.

Did Mr. The Bennie build those shelves?---he seems the type to be really handy at such nice things, made to order.

That's quite a collection Patsy !
I've recently bought a used sewing machine, and can't seem to stay out of the fabric shop :)
Yes, lovely shelves....

Good for you Patsy! Those are the things that are easy to ignore. It looks nice now - and so do your squares.

Any child would go nuts to play with your button and thread collection! Ours used to love to go through my button box. The lap quilt is wonderful!! I would pay quite a bit for one like it, but you don't see them anywhere. The color and pattern are so beautiful!!
