This is my dad and Julio She was born Nov. 15 1888.
The photo was taken in 1987 at the time she was 98 years old. She gave this Mayonnaise Dish to him
Said it was a wedding gift. I have it now, from what I find it is
1920's depression glass, ligh pink and gold.
I went on to find three others at estate sales
Pink
Blue
Purple and gold.

Very cool! I love old things like that.
I have never heard of or seen a set like this for mayo. They are all really good looking and now I have something moreto be on the lookout for.
How beautiful !
I bet they could be used for a variety of things, chow chows, sauces, spreads.

The purple one is Amethyst my mom collects Amethyst. I had no idea that Mayo bowls were until now..thanks. Blessings
Simply beautiful, every one. The giveaway every time is the small glass spoon, usually curved like a little punch ladle.
All yours are lovely. Now, when are you serving a nice tomato aspic? I have a much-requested recipe---with Vodka in it, so it's technically a solid Bloody Mary.

I have never herd of Mayonaise dishes...they are lovely! I used to collect depression glass, it was a fun hobby:)
I've never seen those before...and they are pretty. Is it meant to put ice around the middle I wonder? Glad you found charming Uncle Wiggley...=) Those little stories make me smile sometimes. Thats a special picture you posted...wow, 98. Love that...
Really pretty! Did you buy the others? I bet you did find out how expensive yours is.
I don't think I have ever seen mayonnaise dishes. Very nice. Wish I had one.
Love the old photo and the mayo dish is new to me - these are so beautiful and unique. A real treasure!
I've never heard of mayonnaise dishes. I don't think we ever had mayonnaise until I was about thirty. All we had was salad cream which I didn't particularly like.
Those dishes are beautiful.
