Antique Mayonnaise Dish

This is my dad and  Julio She was born  Nov. 15 1888.
The photo was taken in 1987 at the time she was 98 years old. She gave this Mayonnaise Dish to him
Said it was a wedding gift. I have it now, from what I find it is
1920's depression glass, ligh pink and gold.

I went on to find three others at estate sales

Pink
Blue

Purple and gold.

How beautiful !
I bet they could be used for a variety of things, chow chows, sauces, spreads.

Simply beautiful, every one. The giveaway every time is the small glass spoon, usually curved like a little punch ladle.

All yours are lovely. Now, when are you serving a nice tomato aspic? I have a much-requested recipe---with Vodka in it, so it's technically a solid Bloody Mary.

I've never heard of mayonnaise dishes. I don't think we ever had mayonnaise until I was about thirty. All we had was salad cream which I didn't particularly like.
Those dishes are beautiful.
