Some Thing I Have

been trying to do for a year. This quilt had to be taken apart. I quilted it by hand and the knots just pulled out. I got so tired of repairing it that it got put away (I will think about it some other day.) And months passed. I called the quilt shop and ask about them machine quilting it . They said I had to take out all of the quilting. That was no easy thing or quick thing to do. BUT IT IS DONE.
What did I do wrong ? I feel like a failure.

That sounds like so much work to hand quilt it, and then have to remove everything. How very frustrating!

It does look like beautiful colors doesn't it?

I wanted to see the top. I am not sure what went wrong Patsy..I always tie big knots and then pull them inbetween the two pieces of fabric into the batting..and when I end a thread I always stitch backwards and then hide a really long tail of thread inside before I come up and cut the thread off. Were the threads too short or too tight? Well at least you are done picking out all the threads..what a job:(

Patsy, thanks for mentioning Far Side's problem with her shoulder. I have had it for awhile, and when she wrote her blog post on it, I realized that's what it was.

So in a round about way, she is responsible for my going to physio. LOL

Which is a good thing.

Good grief. Don't you just hate it when things don't do what they are supposed to do, like knots pulling out. Glad you are getting it done and can use it again.
