Did you Know

We are having a new moon on Sunday 28 February 2010. The Native American name for the February Moon is Snow Moon, Hunger Moon, Open Bud Moon.
There is almost no atmosphere on the moon. No wind or water erosion. The moon's surface is about the same now as it was 3 billion years ago. The Astronaut's footprints remain unchanged on the moon's surface. There foot prints should last at least 10 million years.

I just heard on the news yesterday the current administration is debating reinstating NASA's moon program. Perhaps, they will send a female to walk on the moon next time?!?

Neat facts on the moon! I didn't know the foot prints would last that long - wow!

I was just looking out my kitchen window at the full moon. Well, well, full tomorrow. Looks pretty bright. Yes, we do need female footprints on the moon next. Perhaps she can wear stilleto heels while up there! Haha.

Happy Sunday! Enjoy our nice weather. I am.

Hugs,

Renie
