The cupcake

In the early 19th century, the name cup cake took it's name from being baked in a individual pottery cup. In Queen Victoria's afternoon Tea's they were called fairy and butterfly cakes. This one is the modern butterfly cake.
This is what I call cupcake anytime.

You are making me hungry Patsy. I almost always make cupcakes instead of a layer cake. My favorite is yellow cake with lemon icing!
