I have been reading up on my garden books too... which catalog is this you feature. IF I may ask? DO you intend on ordering from any catalogs this season. I blogged about this a few days ago. Not sure who to TRUST when ordering online.

Great to be a follower of your blog . I love the photos and advice you give.

Hi Patsy,

Oh, the Garden Catalogs are nice to look through at this time of the year, aren't they? Are you planning on getting seeds or plants? I bought some wildflower seeds just a few days ago, but my spring garden is well established. The jonquils are starting to bloom now, forsythia will be next, then the tulips, irises and then the day lilies, etc. The pink roses bloom from May through October.

Of course, impatients are always nice, as they bloom all through to the fall, but they are annuals. So are begonia's. Zinnias are great and bloom all summer. So many others. Let us know what flowers you chose. Happy dreaming.

It is a lovely task choosing what to plant.

My garden is mainly lawn. The clay soil isn't suitable for flowers so they go in pots. Bit of a pain watering them but it's worth it.

Fun stuff! Can't wait to see what you decide one.

Yes - I must know what you decide to plant!!
This year I'm thinking of blackberry bushes up at the cabin, a blue spruce, and then an assortment of flowers - I'm trying to choose ones that will encourage the butterflies and hummingbirds.

I love dreaming over catalog pages be it a seed/plant catalog or a J. C. Penny or Sears. I just dream away.

How fun to be starting with a brand new flower bed! I know you will pick the perfect flowers to plant.

Just got in from Memphis and we had a good day. I would follow Benniie's suggestion and only plant in pots. Container gardening is an art within itself. Have fun.
