Our 4th Of July

Luncheon was at Bellevue Baptist Church
The speaker was our Bible Study Teacher at Bellevue Woods 
Independent Living Community.

Henry B. (Sonny) Tucker


Born in Vicksburg Mississippi in 1937, He played freshman
football at LSU, transferred to University of Southern Miss.
He is a member of the University of Southern Mississippi
Football  Hall of Fame. Also the  All -American  football
Foundation as their recipient of the Bill Wade Unsung Hero
Award.

Reverend Tucker was an Infantry soldier having served three tours
as a combat soldier in Vietnam. He served as District Senior
 Adviser in Vietnam under the late legendary John Paul Vann,
who was the subject of the Pulitzer Prize best seller by Neil
Sheehan "A Bright And Shining Lie."

Tucker was also the Executive Officer to Colin L. Powell.
Secretary Powell writes of their friendship in his highly
acclaimed book, '' My American Journey" and in his second
book "It Worked For Me"
