Louisiana Iris

Beauthful Deep Blue
These love the damp cool weather, they bloom in mass. And have taken over the bearded iris bed.
Only the pink and yellow  bloomed this year the white and blue didn't like the cool damp. I will have to rework my bearded iris bed and move some, then hope for the best next year.
I love Irises , did you know they are the Tennessee state flower?

They are beautiful iris. They look like a fancier flag iris. I am anxious for my iris to bloom but it will be a while for that. Yes the plants do keep invading. I lost a couple of Asian lilies because of advancing field lilies. Great shots.

They are very showy for a small flower. Very pretty! Our area has a native Virginia Spiderwort (Tradescantia virginiana) that grows all along our roadsides in wet ditches. The flowers are very similiar only less showy. Thanks for sharing your lovely countryside today.

This is simply beautiful. The intense blue is amazing and looks literally heavenly. The iris are out here, too!
