Growing and Cleaning

the Apple Gourd, if you remember last year I planted these and wanted to make a bird house.

There is more to growing them so they will be just right, mine were to small.
They had to dry over the winter and one rotted.

They were molded, had to be soaked in bleach

then brushed with a wire thing

I scraped most off with my finger nail it didn't come off easy.

then had to let them dry over night and paint them.

Next time I will just buy a bird house gourd.
Old people like me don't have time for complex progressive projects.

OK so that is what we have most of (time).

Very nice. It is a lot of work and I can see wanting to just buy them, but it's so much fun to accomplish something yourself.

I remember you growing them. I know it takes a lot of work to transform them. They are looking wonderful though Patsy.

They are very, very pretty but I know what you mean that sometimes time is worth more than money so I agree - - - just go to the store.
