I went out in the cold wind to check on my Taylor's Perfection Camellia
The poor little thing put on its buds in the fall and
they are hanging in there for spring. It gets the full force of the northern winds.
This will be the third summer for it,
not growing very fast but it does have more buds then last year.this is when it bloomed last year

I know you are ready for some blooms...Camellias are the slowest growing plants...mine is finally putting on some decent growth after 3 years.

Oh, Patsy it is just gorgeous. I have made up my mind I am going to plant a Camellia for zone 6 and see if I can baby it along to grow for me. Maybe if I put it in a sheltered spot. They have the prettiest blooms. I love the buds on yours before they open. They look like little roses. Have a wonderful weekend.
