To Day

is National Chocolate Day

 My Chocolate Brownie Tort

!- large tub of cool whip cream

1- can chocolate syrup

1- box brownie mix 

1- cup almonds

Put bowl and cream in freezer while you bake  the brownies.

Put the brownies in three cake pans lined with wax paper.

Cool the cakes

Mix chocolate syrup and cool whip to taste

Put the layers together one at a time, icing generously with chocolate

cream mix sprinkling with almonds.

On the top layer dribble chocolate syrup over top and sides.

Refrigerate a few hours before you eat to blend and soften.

is 90 years young working on her grandmother's quilt, top was 1923

 Her mother put it to gather and quilted it in 1940's

Anna is doing repair  work on some of the blocks.

The Gardener

Has help this morning

 They are pulling up all the flowers

 By the truck load and out the gate to the church compost

where all the main garden work starts.They care for acres

and acres of landscaping. 

The little tree that said I can. (come back or I will)

One little green leaf has appeared. 

I went to a new dentist this morning  got my teeth cleaned

and a check up. Need a new crown, should be solid gold

they want so much money. but (Will it make me feel like a Queen?) 

No! more like a poor subject of the Queen.

WE DiD PROTEST

We went to the board of Director's.

(You know you just can't fight City Hall)

Winifred was right the pool was a salt pool but the bacteria 

got to high, they added chlorine but so many use the pool.

Not just us or the the people that live here--guest and other

aquatic classes  use the pool, it didn't work to kill all 

bacteria. So the health dept. said lower the temperature.

Said our class is the only one to complain. 

Just shut the door then!!!

Hi All This is

(Normal) checking in

Went for a swim this morning in our not

so heated pool. They have dropped the temperature and

opened some of the sliding doors. That cool wind was

to much blowing in. They put wood stoppers so they can

not be closed. Hay we are old people and hurt all over most

of the time.

 I think we will have  to do our aerobic exercise

in the hot tub with The Bennie

 I have been working out in the gym 20 min on treadmill

 15 on the bike, may have to skip the pool this winter.

 We have been told that the pool temperature will not 

be higher------ now or this winter.   What a downer!

Rain And More Rain

It has been so nice and cool, we needed the rain.

Went to my Cardiologist, cardiogram showed I am normal .

"Well" I will take that as good news.
