Crepe Myrtle--Cake --Blackberry's And To Much Water

I must confess the White Crepe Myrtle Tree is across the street
in my neighbors yard, but we get to look at it all day.
Yesterday The Bennie baked a Coca-Cola Sheet Cake
and he took a friend some of the hot cake for their lunch.
So this morning they come with blackberry's from their farm.

We put up 18 cups for future pies.
We are having a sunshine day so far!!
It rained again last night wish we could share with
California. A Friend called from the valley that has big farms with no water.
The cake, So Good--The Bennie is a Butcher, Baker and I bet he could make
Candles if he wanted to.

Oh boy! That cake looks so moist and tasty. The blackberries are so nice. Don't forget that The Bennie is the Rabbit Whisperer, too!!!!!!!

What a sweet, cute way to say what a talented man your Bennie is!
I have one of those can-do-anything guys, as well. That cake is absolutely gorgeous---haven't made one in years, and the last time we had a slice was at Cracker Barrel quite a while ago. I know it's in my big box of Mother's recipes, and wonder if it would work with a Dr. Pepper?

The blackberries are simply magical---we haven't had any great big ones like that in a while. Chris has been gone this week down to the Home Place in AL, and has picked and cooked off two gallons of figs with sugar. I'll cook them up again tomorrow and can them out into jars. Summer on a Winter biscuit.

Best to you and Mr. The Bennie!

Oh yum, Patsy!!! The Bennie is a keeper, for sure (smiles). OHHHHH I love Blackberries and I always get Blackberry Jam from a local farm stand. Thanks for sharing and thanks for the smiles, pouring rain here, not complaining. Off to the grocery store. Blessings

That is a mean looking tasty cake. I love it all and mouth is watering just looking at it. I thought we had too much rain and then it dried out for a couple of weeks and we were ready for another one.

I didn't know y'all lived in a neighborhood. For some reason, I pictured you in the country. :)
Yummy post. Now I'm hungry. Hope y'all have a blessed evening. ~:)

All yummies. I used to pick blackberries, plums and scuplings when I went to my granny's. It was so much fun going to the country.
