I don't watch much TV any more but I do like to watch Turner Classics sometime when I can't sleep
and on Saturday & Sunday the BBC. I do watch in the afternoon cable news and weather. Much to my surprise last night our cable company changed their channel lineup and took the Turner Classics channel off our package.
WHAT! WHAT!
Could not get them on the phone to say any thing but do you want to pay your bill.(it is paid). So today first thing we went down to their store. We had to buy different package call Movie Package a bunch of movie channels I will not watch, to get Turner back. $$$$$
I HATE CHANGE AND THIS WHOLE WORLD IS CHANGING AND IT IS NOT JUST MY LITTLE WORLD.
OK I feel better now!
(The Bennie said they worked out my problem for $3.00 less then we were paying
so it didn't cost more. I now not only feel better but good.)

I noticed that..we have Time Warner up here..I noticed they have changed their channel lineup--now we have to relearn the channels. I still haven't found the TCM channel. Unnerving to say the least.
You might be better off with a Roku and Netflix..the Roku was about 90 $ and Netflix is 8$ a month. We felt in the long run it was worth the investment. It saves at least 40 $ a month on our cable bill..it all adds up:(
I totally sympathize! A few months ago, our provider did the same thing, but with a different channel. Seems the channel raised it's price to our provider, so they just dropped them to make an example.BUT so many people complained and dropped them, that they brought it back!!
We recently lost two channels we watched...one was the Hallmark movie channel....for a package with a bunch of trash things we don't watch. They ought to let us choose the channels we want and charge accordingly. I know lots of people feel this way. Its wrong to make us pay..pay ..pay for things we do not want. Oh well...like you said...change is everywhere and mostly backfires.
It seems just when we get tv channels and telephone packages, figured out, they coma along and change them....yes, nothing stays the same, it's so annoying.

Our Time Warner channel line up is supposed to change too. They were originally going to do it in May and then June and here it is August and they still have not done it but I'm not looking forward to it because I have most of my line up channels memorized and I'm not looking forward to searching for them when then do change. According to the booklet they sent to us, I will still get TCM on channel 631 here in the Los Angeles Area.
I hate it when they do things like that too! Not fair! Glad you got it back.
It is really frustrating to deal with cable companies.
So happy the situation was solved and y'all are saving money. But no wonder cable is failing. They're bleeding money all over the country. We have DirecTV. It's not perfect but it's so much better. ~:)
I've had that kind of thing with our cable too. Very frustrating! Glad you ended up saving money!
