I didn't Know

 That the Stella de Oro Daylily had seeds.

She does not look so good plant wise but her flowers are still pretty.

This is Lizzie and she shares the garden with us.

Memory

Fond memory paints scenes of other years,
Far in the distant past,
Which well reminds me that Old Father Time
Is traveling, Oh, so fast.

The old home place is there no more ;

Rain

I wanted to run and play in it.

Well  not for real

Wild Flowers

will be no more

this is the last lot on our street

with out a house and now it has a house on it .

When we came here 3 1/2 years ago our house was one of three in  a new subdivision.
We got a drizzle of rain early this morning.

No rain Yet

We have been watering  more and the Peace rose is happy just not as many blooms.

This year the Pope John Paul II is doing so much better. Last year the stem's were so weak they could not
hold the rose up.

Now this year many, many blooms. The Bennie has been  taking good care of this beautiful rose.
And it smells so sweet.

Water Is A Gift

Dear God, today I want to share the gifts of your love and happiness with one who has chance that I of finding them.

84 year ago

on July 7 1928 a baker in Chillcocthe Missouri. Frank Bench was on the brink of bankruptcy. He bought a multi-bladed, medieval- looking , bread-slicing gizmo and introduced the world to the great idea to which all future great idea would be compared.

In the 1940's my father worked  for Hart's Bread in Blytheville Arkansas. Moved to Paducah Ky and build a bakery there ,moved to Memphis Tn started a bakery there in late 1940's.

Today In 1946 George W. Bush Was Born

Hot and Dry

didn't discourage this Hibiscus "Rubis" to bloom after it got moved.
