I was curious about the book that was used by the teacher in the old log church -school house in 1850's. Did you know it can still be bought today.

Very interesting and I love the old portrait.
My granddad studied from the Blue Back Speller when he went to school back in the 1800s. Wow.
I love words spelled correctly. When they are incorrect anywhere in print - - in advertisements or newspapers or books - - - it is like a black eye on the page to me.
