We now have the public library in the comfort of our home.

This is big , soon I will never have to go out of my home, life is on my computer.
With the e-reader I can check out books and when the titles expire at the end of
lending period it is automatically done. no late fees.But Bennie sometime I may want to SEE people!

I went out in the cold wind to check on my Taylor's Perfection Camellia

The poor little thing put on its buds in the fall and

they are hanging in there for spring. It gets the full force of the northern winds.
This will be the third summer for it,
not growing very fast but it does have more buds then last year.this is when it bloomed last year

In the Smith house there was a whole lot of baking going on. The Bennie got out the bread machine and made this delicious crusty white bread.
We put it in the bread slicing thing and had fat tuna sandwich's for lunch.

The bananas were looking ripe so I made banana walnut bread

I got pictures of my dad when he was 19 or 20 years old, it was about 1930. You should enlarge to see how great they are. I have not seen them before, his sister that is now 101 sent them to me or her family did. This lady is not my mother, mother and daddy did not marry until 1934. Check out that suit he had on. My dads name was Otto and a fun loving guy.

Christmas by a family member of his. We were told

if you ever divorce I want it back. I love my Waterford

Biscuit Barrel so much I have keep The Bennie.

Sweet Child?

When I was about 9 years old Mother took my sister and I to a Nun at a very small Church so we could learn to play the piano I had my first lesson came home. My sister sit down and played . Later after dinner it was my turn I think mother had to make me sit down to play.
Daddy came in to read the paper and I was just pecking and not very happy. Daddy said Patsy do you want to play the piano or go out side a play with your friends.

You guessed it I said go out side and play. That was the last of my lessons. My sister took for a long time and was very good.
I have regretted it all my adult life that I made that choice.

I couldn't get the Bennie to move in the woods
or to the beach

He did say maybe a new electrolux vacuum

but I will still have to dust

I think the Crow's that are visiting our yard are laughing at me.

I been Thinking

it is getting harder for me to clean house you know we down sized, now how about moving to

a little old shack. I have been reading about life in the old west in The Bennie's books of

Louis L'Amour " The Man From The Broken Hills"

He was happy in the line shack. No I think it should be

a little old rusty beach shack.What do you think?

The Paperbark Maple

This is a slow-growing tree it has ornamental peeling orange- cinnamon bark.Its dark green, three-lobed leaves turn a brilliant orange-red in Autumn

My mind is still on Spring planting and this tree would be a winner in the yard.
