We got some rain yesterday so I can skip the watering for today. About your Gay Feathers, They are new to me but I think if you do not want them to seed then dead head them and let them go so energy goes to the bulbs.They are cut back the following spring before growing again. But I think here in the cold winters they would died back by themselves.
Yes, We need rain here desperatly. It has been so hot and humid as August usually is here. Today it was 83, with the humidity it was close to 100 FEWW !!! hot and sticky.

FINALLY GOT RAIN today, & what a whopper storm after 7 weeks ... Nothing like 'walking in the rain' ... which I did, briefly.

We have been getting some rain, not enough though.
I like the photo of the sprinkler and the splashing water; it is very refreshing to look at.
