I Am Wishing

These out of the cold,cold ground. They are Mildred's Blackberry Lily bulbs: I am so excited!

Patsy, I am wishing too. I hope you have lots of success with these. Their bright spots always make me smile. Our jonquils seem a little later than usual this year. Hope you both are doing well.

Hi Patsy,
I have Blackberry Lilies too. I once cut them down in the fall and tossed them on my compost pile. I had little lilies growing everywhere. I originally got my plant from Mount Vernon. When we were leaving the gardens they had plants on the table for sale. I bought one of these and brought it home to Illinois. I always feel that it came from Geo. Washington's original garden.

That blackberry lily is certainly a beauty! And I love hyacinths - they have the most fragrant smell.
