Family Reunion

There was a drawing for prize's and the Bennie was sure he was going to win the quilted wall hanging but he didn't and got a old fashion doll. LOL

Saturday we went to the Watson/Parker/Pritchard family reunion at Natchez Trace State Park in Tennessee. The descendants of Rebecca Parker and John Wilkerson Watson, was the side of the family my grandfathers sister married into. I am deep into this genealogy. It is addictive and very time consuming and I love it. My dear sainted husband The Bennie who hates cemeteries, but went to every one in east Tennessee with me. (he thinks) I am doing a book called Parts of the Person I am, on the Tate/Alexander/Berry/Green/Casper/Leehy/Harshaw's.

That would be fascinating. I love the pictures and stories that sometimes accompany them, like on the History channel, but history itself was never my cup of tea. We tend to be Scottish, Irish, German with a little Cherokee Indian thrown in for good measure. Hey, to win anything is pretty good...=) That must have made your day!
