Remember This Mess

 The Bennies yard and new grass is beautiful again. 

We had one more run in with the runoff water boy about cutting our side yard.
That if he didn't stop we would take him to court ,about all the damage he had done.
He stopped!

This has been reseeded and growing .

We have a smaller house than he does and that makes our lot look bigger than his.

So I think by him cutting our side yard it made his yard look bigger. He is

now parking his trailer on the lot on the other side of his house. As you know that man died

and his girlfriend moved out so it went back to the bank. That yard needs to be cut

so why is he not cutting it???

Butterfly And Roses

 Yesterdays beautiful  photo was of a English Garden.

In my garden I have a few roses blooming. 

 The weather changed, it is much cooler this morning and The Bennie got

the yard cut. It has been so hot we could not work in the yard.

Hoping August will be better weather. For all of our  blog gardeners.

Garden Needs More Time Out

Have been trying to stay cool and dry while time out.

It has rained short bust with heavy down pours, just

makes it hotter. My flower beds are a mess.

Big Storms

Trash, limbs and leaves, peoples roofs damaged, had

 80+ winds. Lots of damage all over town.

We are doing ok, just been cleaning the yard up.

Started the clean up at 6:00 am and it was hot, we looked like

we had been swimming so wet. Had my shower and went back

to bed for a nap.

Tall Phlox

 Have not seen many butterfly yet.

Time Past and Present

 This old barn is of the past but want give up. I love to see

the old barns --- not many left now.

 It's haying time again

This is what we see from our back yard. We are just behind the hedgerow.

If you step over the fence we would be in the county. Some day they will

 build houses in this field and that makes me sad.

Mid July In The South -HOT-

We are in our hot, hot summer time mode for the South.

May not see rain for a while, to keep these beauty's alive

we will water every day.

 I planted more Zinnias and in three days they are up and growing. 

(These are older Zinnias)

 The blue Daze is showing off  today

 So blue with a little white flower in the center.

Have to love ever faithful Petunias

Crepe Myrtle--Cake --Blackberry's And To Much Water

I must confess the White Crepe Myrtle Tree is across the street
in my neighbors yard, but we get to look at it all day.

 Yesterday The Bennie baked a Coca-Cola Sheet Cake
and he took a friend some of the hot cake for their lunch.
So this morning they come with blackberry's from their farm.

 We put up 18 cups for future pies.

We are having a sunshine day so far!!
It rained again last night wish we could share with
California. A Friend called from the valley that has big farms with no water. 

The cake, So Good--The Bennie is a Butcher, Baker and I bet he could make
Candles if he wanted to.

Slow Summer Day

We had a good rain last night and more to come,

hot wind blowing. No new flowers to rave about.

This hibiscus is in full bloom with it's pretty pink flowers.

The Mildred Blackberry Lilie

Love the way the lily is a little spiral after it opens, then it makes little seeds that look  like blackberry's.
You can see it on the lower right.

Not much new this week in the garden.

A Little Rain, A Little Sun

Storms are rolling in and out now and last three days.

we got a hard rain last night. Glad we don't have to water today.

 

 I am going to eat that tomato for lunch can you guess with what?

 I love these Blue Daze, so blue and they trail over the pot.

Dear Lily you make me happy to just look at you. This year blogger gardeners
have so many different colors to show off and theirs are doing great. 



Grandson Back Home

with his sweet family, it was a long two weeks for his boys and him
I have not gotten to talk to him yet. But understand it was a surreal trip.
