Patiently

waiting to see this Monarch Butterfly  come in to my garden this year.
But I didn't see it. So to my surprise  I got  babies.

I love Monarch butterflies! They migrate through here in October.

How fun! I always wanted to see one hatch out of a chrysalis?? Never have though. But once, years ago we had a huge moth emerge from its cocoon and perched on our hand. I can't think of the name of it just now. And we've found Luna moths that were injured and stopped the car to gently pick them up. This all reminds me of the 'Girl of the Limberlost' by Gene Stratton-Porter. Have you read that book Patsy? A friend once said it changed her life forever, becoming so aware of the creations of God. And the movie 'City Boy' is so good too...its molded from the book 'Freckles' by Gene. S-P also. I think it is a Family Feature Film. Hard to come by nowadays.

Life goes on. I had a lot of tigertail butterflies but very few Monachs. I don't ever see babies, though. I guess they are around somewhere.
