The first blooms that have not been chewed on this year, summer has been hard on this rose. It smells so good and I love the cream center. Makes me think of a 1950's glass bottle of milk with cream on top.

All of my Phlox have been eaten by grasshoppers but they keep on blooming.I am SOoooo ready for fall, winter and 2012.

What a depressing year this has been for so many.

Your Rose is beautiful. Those Phlox have been almost defoliated. Thankfully you still get to enjoy the blooms though. You are right this year has been horrible. The worst I personally recall.

Lovely roses Patsy.

Whoa there never mind the winter, we're still waiting for summer here. Would love a lovely hot day to go to the beach, haven't been this year. Not that we haven't had some nice days but mainly because my granddaughter has a broken wrist so we daren't get the plaster cast wet. Never mind it came off today so all we need is the sun before she goes back to school.

When we lived on Grandpa's dairy farm for a while, we drank the milk with the cream on top but it was so rich, it would almost gag me. I prefer skim to this day. However, your rose is beautiful.
