We stop by on our way to Missouri on a quest to find Great Aunt Minnie: to see Frank and Cloody they are getting ready to move to Texas. They have lived in the Westminster Village for over 10 years. That is how we met, we had both lived in the Memphis Tn area. Frank dug up me the beautiful pink and yellow Iris. Going to miss them very much. The white iris was given to me by the nice lady that helped us find Minnie. ( after I ask if she would let me have it.) The Bennie was put back by my asking, and he said no come on, she said come back by and I will dig one up.. The Bennie said no again. So off we went. He said how could you ask for that Lady's for her flower. Well-----
We had found Minnie and her son . Looked up and the nice lady drove up and said I want you to have the Iris. ( I told The Bennie we like to share our flowers. ) So I have named then Frank the yellow one and Cloody the pink and the white is Minnie. I told the nice lady I was going to call it Minnie. This is Great Aunt Minnie 1884 to 1959

If you don't ask you will never know. Gardeners love to share flowers.
That is neat to name the Irises after people. Frand and Cloody are so nice and friendly. We sure feel sad about them leaving, but understand it is to be closer to family. I imagine the lady enjoyed giving the flower to you.
The Iris are beautiful! I don't blame you for asking to have some.
Have a great weekend.
Smiles,
Carol ;-)
Sounds like it was a great day!

I'm glad you two had a good trip. Every gardener I know loves to share their flowers ~ I'm sure she was thrilled that you asked. Have a nice weekend.
