We stop by on our way to Missouri on a quest to find Great Aunt Minnie: to see Frank and Cloody they are getting ready to move to Texas. They have lived in the Westminster Village for over 10 years. That is how we met, we had both lived in the Memphis Tn area. Frank dug up me the beautiful pink and yellow Iris. Going to miss them very much. The white iris was given to me by the nice lady that helped us find Minnie. ( after I ask if she would let me have it.) The Bennie was put back by my asking, and he said no come on, she said come back by and I will dig one up.. The Bennie said no again. So off we went. He said how could you ask for that Lady's for her flower. Well-----
We had found Minnie and her son . Looked up and the nice lady drove up and said I want you to have the Iris. ( I told The Bennie we like to share our flowers. ) So I have named then Frank the yellow one and Cloody the pink and the white is Minnie. I told the nice lady I was going to call it Minnie. Cake Pie
" Chickens In The Road" had this Lemon cake pie on her site for Easter. I made this for The Bennie and he sure did like it.
I was thinking it may be good with chocolate and it was. The cake is on top and the pie on the bottom. How to make Lemon cake pie
1: cup sugar
1: cup sugar
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, separated
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon peel, grated
1 cup milk
one unbaked single-pie shell (I used the deep pie shell)
Combine sugar, flour, butter, and egg yolks in a mixing bowl. Beat. The mixture will be a little crumbly at this point. Add lemon juice, grated peel, and milk.
Beat again. Beat egg whites till soft peaks from. Fold into mixture. Pour filling into prepared pie shell.
Bake at 350-degrees for 40-45 minutes (or until set-do the toothpick test!). Cool. Chill to store.
To make the chocolate (leave out the lemon juice and peel ) add 1 cup melted chocolate chips.
This is sooo good!

Empty Tomb
Who so ever believes in the son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him. John 3:36
Low in the Grave He lay, Jesus my Savior! Waiting the coming day,
Jesus my Lord! Up from the grave He a rose, with a might triumph o'er his foes; He a rose a victor from the dark do- main, And He lives for ever with His saints to reign. He a rose! He a rose! Hallelujah! Christ a rose!

Easter Sunday
1947 , left to right my sister's best friend Shirley until the end of her life. That is me in the middle and they tormented me for life. I always tried to go with them every where. They told me they would give me a nickle if I would stay in the yard. Up the street they went ( I didn't stay put) I saw them talking to old mean Jimmy Snodgrass and I went and told mother. There was pay back. My sister was 4 years older then me.
