Quilt Day

Friends....they cherish each other's hopes. They are kind to each other's dreams. By Henry David Thoreau My dream is to get better at my quilting, and have each child in my family a quilt from me.
This quilt is very special The Bennie had it made for me in 1986 by the Lady's at the Hallsville Methodist Church. This is a very small town in Texas, we lived there from 1985 to 1995.

This is the throw I was binding . I still have to embroider my name and date on it. I think I will sew the little button here by my name.

Now to start a new one ,but first there is a blue and white full size quilt that was giving me a fit trying to quilt it. I must get it done .

How very beautiful and how treasured they will be. Be sure to give each child a photo of you handing them the quilt.

Your quilt turned out so great! It's such a good idea to make a quilt for each child to treasure.

They will treasure those quilts for generations, it is rare to get them anymore. My Grandmas made me one, and I still have it, love it. She made all the grands, and the greats quilts.....

Thank you SO much for visiting my quilt blog! You are one of my Mom's blogger friends, and I loved seeing that you also are a quilter! I LOVE the wedding ring quilt that your husband had made for you. It is stunning! And the quilt you made is just wonderful! I'm pretty new at this too, but it sure looks like you are doing a great job. Can't wait to see the blue and white one (I LOVE blue & white!)
