Bird Count

The Great Backyard Bird Count is in February 12-15 2010
We have a Brown Thrush that is working hard in our backyard looking for food they never come to the feeders.

While I never have brown thrush's come to the feeder, the last two springs I have had a mockingbird visit mine. A rare occurence, but fun to watch! Thanks for reminding me, I need to get ready for that - I'm going to buy another 50# bag of safflower seeds this week, so I'll have plenty of food for them!

That is a pretty little bird. Don't think it's the same as the thrushes that we get. You've reminded me to put some food out for the birds. We don't seem to be getting many coming for food. Maybe there are still lots of berries about.

What a beauty, I don't think that we have thrushes around here, and it is a shame.

I was watching the chickadees out there today. Trying to get Bootsie to stumble outside, but he wouldn't go.

We only have a few Nuthatches and Chickadees right now.. your Thrush is very handsome:)
