The other day I was looking at my little spot of garden
when he just came up to me. I was very surprised.
Knew it had to be him ,squirrels do not do that they run
away. I went to the door and called The Bennie, he came
out with pecans. The squirrel was happy to see him.
Bennie said his food supply is not good this time of
the year so he knew The Bennie was good for some nuts.
Smart Squirrel, who is playing who ?

Your Iris is beautiful! I am so glad you are feeding him and not trying to get rid of him. When I was growing up, we had squirrels and chipmunks out back. We would sit on the porch with a peanut in our hand, and they would always come up and carefully take it. Will this squirrel take it out of your hand? Nowadays we do have to worry a bit about rabies and such.

Like me, this squirrel has priced pecans at the grocery store! We had a rabbit here last year who would come right up to a lady in her porch chair.
