Thanks

To Sallysmom
we know what is wrong with the rose bush.

It is called Rose Rosette Disease
Or
Witch's Broom
Caused by microscopic mites that blow in the wind.
They get in the stem of the rose and kill the bush with in
two years and spreads rapid to other bushes.

(dig it up an burn the bush)

I always hate to lose plants.
God bless you and Bennie this weekend. xoxo

I sure would hate to have to do that, but it is probably for the best! Wonder if you can get more roses and plant them or will they just get it, too?

How awful!! When everyone else is gone, bugs and mites will STILL be around!

We had to dig up all of our Knockout Rose bushes last year, and burn them :(
I first saw this disease on The Volunteer Gardener TV show last year, the master gardener said then, the best thing to do was to dig them up and burn them, as they spread to other bushes and roses.
It made us sad, as our bushes were gorgeous before this disease.
Hugs,
