Winter Birds
Some of the winter birds are back
We saw the Black Cap Chickadee this morning.

Things Are Quiet
here and the trees are almost bare, winter is about to seize us.
The birds have quit their singing,
As they know what Winter's bringing
And they know that snow and ice
Will not treat them very nice,
So they'll wait until Spring for their song.
Trees I see from my back door.

I Would Like to Share
This with you, my granddaughter wrote this in school 2001.
Visiting Memaw
My grandmothers house in Longview Texas had a very lush landscape
that made you want to stay outside all day. The train always ran across the rode, and you could always hear the whistle early in the morning. The yard was nothing but tall trees and thick grass, were at night you could run barefoot catching fireflies. The house as well was gorgeous it was
white and green trim, and a porch with a screen door and windows. The kitchen always smelt like chocolate, and the rest of the house smelt of pine. The house was full of antiques, and
a chirping bird name tweety. The house had wood floors, huge windows, thick warm rugs.
As a little girl it was a wonderful place to visit.
She lived in El Paso Texas at the time so the tall trees were a
real treat she had never seen tall oaks and pecan trees before.
Our Rachel is now grown living in Dallas Texas and has this little boy, we had
Thanksgiving with them.

Where Is The Sunshine
Trees in our back yard that look spooky if you can see with a child's
imagination
This little bird is back from the north, he comes to see us every year at this time.
