I got the Broken Pinwheel

 over with , first try at machine quilting. The quilt is far from perfect

 but I did learn a lot of what not to do.

I put yellow and red buttons in the pinwheel center.

We Went To The Garden Center

 Today guess which color is now in my flower bed?

Yellow, now I have a little joy in my yard.

My Broken Pinwheel Quilt

I wanted to make a small crib quilt but it keeps getting bigger.

The pink under it was the size I was going for, but after it is finished it  will be bigger.
I sure need a quilt club that I could go to and teach me a thing or three are four. I forget  so much
I have been watching "Quilt in a Day" on the I pad. They make it look so easy.

The Robins Are Back

We got the garden cleaned up and bone meal spread for plants that are peeking up out of the ground.

March will be blowing in before we know it. It is time to plant Pansies.  

Hurray

It is in the 60's, but very wet in the back yard.

 Got the mulch back around the Azaleas and the leaves raked up

there was ice under some of the leaves in the shade.

 Poor Camellia kept it's buds in all the freezing snow and ice, will they bloom

This Purple Coral Bell I hope will come back, it still has green around the bottom.

 The yard looks some better, The Bennie was getting the front and side yard raked up.

Now we  will go in and have fresh baked Oatmeal and Raisin cookies and tea.

Cut the rose bushes back, when it warms up to 45 or 50 I will clean up the beds.

Feeding Time

We got 1-1/2  to 2in of snow in the night. This was about 6:00 A.M.

Skittish Little Birds

There are 7 Goldfinch on this feeder. It took many try's to take this photo, their  very skittish.

We had Strawberrys

 Kroger got these in and they looked so good, but didn't have

much taste added sugar and they were passable.

Made strawberry cake with pink icing and  little red kisses sprinkles.

Birthday Guy's

Batman

This is Nicolas my great grandson and he is 5 today.

This is Steven my son, he was our football guy. Steven, as many know died in June 2009
And Nicolas my daughters grandson was born on Stevens birthday.

This quilt was to be made for Steven in 2009. I got it out three times
 but just could not work on it. Then in 2013 I got it finished as a
memorial to his memory.

Some day maybe Nicolas will want it.

Ice

Just hope we don't get so much that we could enter in ice sculpturing.
