Ready for winter and the cold winds that blow.
But this Knock -out rose bush just keeps on giving.

She's a gorgeous rose! I have two little potted minature roses my daughter gave me for a house-warming gift. I am hoping I can keep them well and happy! Thanks for your comment on my reg. blog! Yes, I suppose if we got hungry, quail could be on the menu, but we are kind've baiting them with the bird seed! :-) This is a subdivision and they seem very comfortable making the rounds. I am having quite an adjustment from having moved here. We had planned to retire in Va which is where my husband is from, and where I have lived a lot of my adult life but the kids were here and we just wanted to be close to them and had to make the choice. At least we had lived here before when our daughter was small and knew what to expect. But, it's still hard. It was especially difficult this summer when it was so HOT! But, the desert, as you say, can be very beautiful too. Good to see you again!

Patsy, I meant to tell you too that our bouganvillia is on a trellis and is quite large. Yes, Mom has to be missing Dad this weekend, especially. I almost added him to the post, but decided I would wait for Memorial Day to give him a tribute. Thanks so much for your comments!

Your rose bush is magnificent, Patsy. We planted 3 this spring and they are still full of roses. It is turning colder and windy today.
