The Holly Tree
As, when all the Summer trees are seen
so bright and green,
The Holly-leaves their fadeless hues display
less bright then they,
But when the bare and wintry woods we see,
What then so cheerful as the Holly Tree?

From Robert Southey

Lovely little poem...

Gentle hugs,
"In a large bowl, combine........"
Aren't those beginning words, delicious...
all by themselves? :-)))

What a wonderful holly tree! We had two holly bushes that son pulled out. He hated to mow around them..(something he rarely did lol) but they never..no never got holly berries on them. I guess we needed a male & female.
