The first blooms that have not been chewed on this year, summer has been hard on this rose. It smells so good and I love the cream center. Makes me think of a 1950's glass bottle of milk with cream on top.

All of my Phlox have been eaten by grasshoppers but they keep on blooming.I am SOoooo ready for fall, winter and 2012.

What a depressing year this has been for so many.

(Patsy over here)This is not the Helenium (Sneezeweed) but Red Blanket a daisy like flower that has 4- inch flowers it grows to 12 in tall with a 4 in spread. Hardiness zone 3-10. only 3.99 3 gal size.
This is Pink Fountain Gaura , butterfly and hummingbirds like it, height 24-26 in. spreads 18in. hardiness Zone 5
looking this up it was selling for 10.99 and Lowe's had it for 3.99

And the ever ( have to have) Blue Salvia and Rabbit proof.

The temperature has dropped to a pleasant 74 this morning.
The flowers and I will be very happy if it stays like this.When all the plants and flowers look spent, just see how the Zinnias never fail.

This is the Red Jewel flowerA great flower that blooms in the fall.

All of the lilies bloomed out in the birthday flowers, the roses didn't last long that you see in the header.
My garden is sad, it has been so hot and dry,and grass is not looking good.

There is some color and the butterfly is happy. If you enlarge you can see it.

I must retract my words about how hard I had it with the window and the blinds inside.

The Bennie was in the heat and and he had a much harder job then I did.

The Bennie had me up early this morning washing window's.
He did the out side and I think he had the easy job I had to do the inside and the blinds.They are so nice and clean-----I can see out better now.
