How did Daisies get their name?
The daisy flower opens its petals during the day and at night the petals shut.

So they were called day's eyes which over time was corrupted to daisy.
The daisy is one of the most common weeds found in an English lawn.

daisies are one of my favorite flowers. I have several kinds of daisies in my garden and love them all. Don't tell them they are a 'weed'. They consider themselves quite regal.
They are also one of may favorite flowers! I to have lots of different breeds of daisies in my gardens and planters ! I love wild daisies, shasta daisies and there are so many more that are hybrids to ! Have a wonderful day !

I did not know that but am glad to have that knowledge now. They are such a happy looking flower!
I like daisys, even though some might consider them weeds, I'm happy to have them on my lawn.
