Hello Dear Blogger Friends

I have been on a trip break to see my two daughters and our great grand children. I have had a shock to my world and have been having to take time to think about it. On the first of Oct The Bennie and I were told I was losing my hearing and would need hearing aids in both ears. We went yesterday to have it checked again. It was the same and I do not feel I can do this yet so they are giving me time but said not to wait more then 6 to 8 month to get them. I can hear well one on one but not in a group. I was tested well with the children and the loud Dallas Cowboy football team this past week-end. This is Bryson

Hi Patsy, Your grandchildren are sweet! And I know how sweet it is to visit them...we just had a wonderful visit with ours about 3 weeks ago now. Our littlest was on the phone with my husband and said, 'Papa, are you coming to my house?' ~~I'm sorry about your hearing Patsy.. that would be a shock. I may not be long behind you. I am 62 and have a hard time at church when everyone is talking at once. Between that and if they stand too close to me...they are in-between my trifocals lines & ....they are blurry to boot. *hugs* & prayer, Maggie Ann

Patsy, what gorgeous grandchildren you have. It sounds like you really enjoyed seeing them.

I am sorry about your hearing, it's never easy losing any facilities. Will the hearing aids help you out at all?

They make hearing aids so small now days that you will hardly notice them Patsy..I am sorry you are having a hard time with this turn of events. It will be OK..as we age certain parts wear out..you must have been a good listener all of your life. You will have to tell us all about it..as someone else may be going through something similar.

Your grands are a handsome bunch..I hope they helped you feel more optimistic..I know that I always feel better after visiting with family ( Most times) :)

Aren't Grandchildren just the greatest. Welcome home, however, I am sorry to hear about your hearing problem, I hope you can come to terms with it and learn to cope with it. Even the Apostle Paul had 'a thorn in the flesh' that he had to cope with. It's possible it was his eyesight, but the scriptures never did say for sure what it was, whatever it was he learned to deal with it, moved on, and wrote 14 books of the Bible. I hope you too will be able to cope with your hearing problem.

That is a terrible thing to lose... your hearing. I can tell I don't hear as well as I once did and that's scary. I will keep you in my prayers dear friend.
