Labor Day

This is how I look at Labor Day in 2009------Rest, food and family
In the war years

In the late 1800's and 1900's

Hi Patsy! Its a rainy Labor Day here! When I went to bed last night it was raining and it still is. We will be going out to eat later if my husband feels up to it. Thanks for coming over and leaving comments on my blog! I wouldn't blame you if you gave up on my blog as I sometimes get off track doing other things and then its hard for me to switch 'gears'. Does that ever happen to you? Plus, if I'm focused on other things...I know if I get online I will kill a lot of time...smile. Visiting blogs is SO enjoyable. Well, lets see if this will post. Blogger ate my last comment to you. Happy Labor Day to you & your hubby!

Isn't it interesting that most people honor
Labor Day by not laboring.

I got to read the previous Labor Day post, did it really start in Canada. Yay for Canada. It is a great holiday, and tomorrow life goes on....

Hope you had a great weekend.

Oh, the food looks scrumptious, Patsy. Labor Day is to honor the work force that kept/keeps our great country going. Sadly, many of them are laid off, these days, and struggling.

We had beautiful weather today didn't we? I was enjoying the cabin on the river with friends and family and lots of food, and yes, even watermelon!

I hope you and Bennie had a wonderful day as well.

Hugs,

Renie

Hi Patsy,
We are so blessed to life in a nation of plenty, that food looks so delicious, My heart just goes out to so many in our country today that are not working!
I also went back to read some of your previous post, and Frank and Cloody, look like such precious people, and so generous, Since I collect cookbooks I had to covet a little, I always enjoy cookbooks from different organizations, these well know writers can't hold a candle to down home cooking, and that is one reason I enjoy collecting Southern Living cookbooks, as well as church cookbooks.

Also it looks like you have had the Bennie working like I have my dh, we are so blessed to have husbands that take such an interest in our homes.

Thank you Patsy, for stopping by and congratulating Charlotte, how thoughtful of you to take the time.
Blessings,
Sue
