Archaeological Diggings

You know the excavation of ancient people like maybe as for back as my grandfather. ( little humor there) When cleaning out the creek on the fence line I found this it is iron. Could it have been to hold the fence up? It had to be before my grandfather ,he used wood post that he made.
I dug up lots of old wire. You can see in the back ground the newer fence. Can anyone tell me about this? I will show it to Frank when he gets here , him and Cloody are coming for a visit this after noon. He is a good old Mississippi boy. He could have seen something when he was running the back woods in his day.LOL

Lots of sweet honey-suckle blooming. The blackberries I can't get, to much bad stuff growing around them. But I can smell the honey suckle.

That is an interesting find and I am sure "Hip-Dude Frank" will know something about it!

Patsy,

Tell Frank I really miss his posts. I know you and Bennie will enjoy visiting with Frank and Cloody. It is raining here in the village....again. We just got back from grocery shopping and the rain came.

Have a great week-end.

Very interesting item. Maybe it was made to hold up a limb for a fruit tree.
I love the fragrance of honeysuckle. Smells soooo good.
