Don't you just love that name: A great Uncle married a Miss Flippen in the late 1800's
The Flippen Orchard has peaches and apples when they get ready they tell the people to come get them, they come from three states. They set up 4 big tent to sell just picked . Tourist pour into the Reelfoot Lake for the nations largest winter population of Bald Eagles.

My great great grand father came here in the early 1840's to farm in the rich soil that the Mississippi river left after the 1811-1812 New Madrid Earthquake. His grandson my grandfather help to save the Lake and preserve it as a state park in the early 1900's
