"Happy Religious Freedom Day"
Congress established January 16 for honoring America's first freedom.
The Virginia Statue Establishing Religious Freedom in 1786.
In 1993, the same year our nation celebrated its first official Religious Freedom Day.
Congress passed another landmark bill, this federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
As an expression of our gratitude for the blessings of liberty and as a sign of our resolve
to protect and preserve them.
This March, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear its next RFRA case. It involves
the religious right of nuns who care for the elderly poor.
The Supreme Court's decision will determine whether RFRA continues
to shield the religious practices of today's minorities from undue
government intrusion.

Pray for our Supreme Court !

I will continue to keep this in prayer...unfort..our religious freedoms are slowly eroding...sad to say.
Many Happy Saturday Blessings to you.
Thankful for religious freedom. So many nations do not have that right.
What religious freedom?! Try not baking a cake for or speaking out against homosexuality or issuing marriage licenses to deviants or teaching about the love of Jesus Christ in school or distributing Bibles in public. The list is almost endless now. You'll be sued or fired or shamed or audited and/or spend time in prison. I guess the lions den will be the next sport to take our nation by storm. This is not the Country I grew up with. I know I'm preaching to the choir here.
Sorry to rant [not at you]. Hope your day is blessed. ~:)
I didn't know this was even a day. I'm surprised it's still celebrated because it seems that this freedom is not practiced so much anymore, at least not for Christians.
Our Supreme Court really does need prayer.
Never heard of it. Goes to show even more that the govt fails to recognize that!
Seems like we are not so free anymore:(
