My grand daughter is studying the American Indians
and wanted me to make her a Indian blanket this was to easy : I went to Hancock Fabrics and found this just had to hem it.
My son Steven ( 1957-2009) played football at University of Tennessee and never got pass his passion for the team.
He lived in a small community out side Knoxville Tn and never missed a game.
I had gotten this fabric to make him a quilt ( he would have loved it) but I didn't get it made for him. So my grandson Gene is in his last year of school and not made up his mine where he will go to college. He has some of my son's personal things and I am going to make it from him.

How sweet. I remember your son's passing Patsy. Hope this brings warm memories for you.
I am so sorry , I did not know of your sons passing, my heart goes out to you and your family. The quilts are beautiful!
Hi Patsy, I know Steven would have loved this quilt displaying his team's logo/colors. How blessed Gene is that you will make it for him to treasure. I hope you will share a photo when you finish it.
Your granddaughter will love this Indian fabric.
Love you Patsy, Mildred
My husband is from Seymour, TN and we lived outside of Kville for many years. Where did your son live, Patsy? Love the blanket, the beautiful picture and your post.
Your grandson will love the quilt and it will be a reminder of his uncle and his loving grandmother.
G'eve Patsy ~ What a sweet gift for him to receive ... your son's quilt intended. God bless Steven & prayers for you. I bet the g-kid-ling is going to love that Indian inspired quilt, also.
Have a great eve ~

This will be a wonderful remembrance---from your son's heart via your hands.
I'm so glad you're dropping in at Lawn Tea---it's always good to hear from you.
I was born and raised in Mississippi, and have been in Indiana a long time now, but I could SWEAR we've switched weather!
You are so talented Patsy! What thoughtful and loving gifts you have made for your son and granddaughter!
What a perfect Indian Blanket!
Old projects and best laid plans..but if it was a favorite team of your sons it should make for good memories as you sew this up for your grandson. I am sorry for you loss Patsy..I am sending you a hug:)
The Indian blanket is great for your granddaughter. And, the TN is perfect for your grandson. My SIL has converted our daughter into at TN fan. We are trying to keep the grandson a Big Blue fan. It's a fun competition.
Hugs to you as I know your thoughts will be with your son as you make the T quilt.
