A Dreary Month

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. (Ps.30:5 )

A deary month of weeping, of cloud and fog and rain, is sorrowful December, and all the wind complain.
For trees are bare and flowers are gone, and birds have hushed all song, and days are short and sunless, and nights are dark and long.
But let us wait in patience, the days are swift to go.
Sorrow does not stay long on the earth below; some days must be for weeping, but God and heaven remain and after nights of darkness the sun will shine again.

Jack Frost

He appeared this cold December day at my house, this elfish creature who personifies our crisp, cold, winter day. Tradition holds Jack Frost responsible for leaving frosty crystal patterns on our windows on cold mornings some times called fern frost.

What A Day

First The Bennie rushed me out the door at 7:30 we were on our way to see doctor's in the big city. We drove like mad flying across the muddy old Mississippi. When the Bennie has a plan we must not stop. The first doctor saw him in a flash. He fried his face + one ear in about four or five places. (I told him to ware a hat) not a baseball cap. Now off to see his cardiologist. Now this a sad story to tell , The Bennie is some time a impatient man, and he thinks that --if-- you get there early they will just take you . This time the first doctor did just that. We had 4 hours until the next appointment. Well I had some suggestions but he said we will go and have breakfast then we will go on to my next doctor. At 11:00 am we get there, she said your appointment is not until 2:15. He gives her his best smile and said , we are from out of town and got out of my other appointment early so here I am. Now I need a butt doctor from sitting all day . He took a nap I read a book 2:15 came and went 3:00 came I was getting a little upset . At 3:15 they called him back at 4:15 . He came out looked at me and said IT DIDN'T WORK THIS TIME.

Contributions To Angels

There is a legend which tells of two angels who come from Heaven every morning and go on their rounds all the day long. One is the angel of requests. The other is the angle of thanksgiving. Each carries a basket. The one belonging to the angel of requests is soon filled to overflowing, for everyone pours into it great handfuls of requests; but when the day is ended, the angel of thanksgiving has in his basket only two or three small contributions of gratitude.
