This I have never seen before at this time of the year.
We enter the Iris garden
They are all cut back just like I do after they bloom in the spring. With their name tags |
but up on the far side I saw these blooming.
A tag said seeding on them, I didn't know they seed.
Can't wait to go back in the spring and see them all in bloom.
I didn't know Iris go to seed either. I thought they where a tuber. Shows ya what I know ... *giggle* Y'alls new place sure is nice. I like seeing pictures of all the surroundings.
ReplyDeleteHope your day is blessed. ~:)
I think the weather has much to do with the Iris still blooming, we've had a mild Fall, despite the Iris being cut back, some do not read the rules :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blooms.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH how nice, Patsy...thank you for the smiles sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteI love irises! We had pretty sunshine today after heavy rain yesterday. It was so nice and warm today!
ReplyDeleteIt'll be gorgeous in the Spring! We used to have a neighbor that had a huge part of her yard planted with iris. She loved to have us come over and see them when they bloomed. She passed away a few years ago, but I think of her whenever I see iris.
ReplyDeleteIris is one of my favorite types of flowers to grow. i really enjoy all of their parts and scattered colors and textures.
ReplyDeleteYes you must go back in the spring! :)
