Wanted A New Plant

I was going to say needed a new plant but no just wanted.
 This is Plum Delight Loropetalum
Said Hummingbirds and butterflies like it.
We put two in side yard and did a little stone work to help stop water flow. Looks
like grass is not going to grow there any more.
Also got pink Pentas for front bed not having any luck with
Vinca this year to wet.

    Could you bury ground level an eave trough that would redirect that water to a pond or to a better place for the water. Just thinking.
